PAKISTAN MAY BAN JIHAD NOVEL

Pakistan might ban a novel about jihad written by an Indian and published in the United States, according to a reliable source in Nairobi, Kenya. Chander Mehra’s novel JIHAD REDISCOVERED (Publish America, Inc) “might be banned in Pakistan because it questions the legitimacy of Pakistan’s creation on the basis of Mohammed Ali Jinnah’s two-nation theory”, according to a Habib Bank Zurich executive.

Islamabad is taking exception to a character in the novel contending that Pakistan was conceived illegitimately on the basis of the two-nation theory which the slaughter of a million Hindus and Muslims in India and the newly-created Pakistan after India’s partition.

“Jinnah, Gandhi and Nehru should have been convicted of genocide for being responsible for the communal riots resulting in the massacre<" says the character..
